Weekends & Simply Sagamore Overnight Stays

In summer we have weekend space. Throughout the rest of the season we are able to offer week day and weekend accommodations for “Simply Sagamore.”
At this time, we are accepting reservations for the following weekends:

August 10 - 12, 2012
SIMPLY SAGAMORE: for yourself, your special someone, for your friends, for your family, for your family reunion.
The Simply Sagamore program combines Vanderbilt history, nature, comfort, relaxation and learning. This program can be chosen for any days of the week, depending on availability.
In free time enjoy canoeing Sagamore Lake, hiking 20 miles of trails, playing lawn games, sitting at a campfire, viewing period movies starring Gene Tierney who was a frequent guest of the Vanderbilts, or history DVDs from the Sagamore library. Porch sitting is also a time-honored activity.
Buffet meals are served in the dining hall. Beer and wine are available for purchase.
A SAMPLE 2 NIGHT SCHEDULE
Friday
Check-in begins at 4pm. Enjoy your buffet dinner at 6:30pm in our exquisite dining hall and get acquainted with Great Camp Sagamore in a short orientation. Watch “No Velvet Ropes” for a glimpse of Vanderbilt history and historic preservation.
Saturday
The breakfast bell is at 8am. Then join us for the Great Camp Sagamore guided walking tour at 10am. Visit the permanent Durant and Vanderbilt exhibits at any time during your stay. After lunch (T, Th, Sat in season) you are invited to take the 2pm excursion aboard the W.W. Durant. Dinner is at 6pm at Great Camp Sagamore. Evenings include a traditional campfire at the lean-to. Take time for star-gazing.
Sunday
After breakfast, check out of Great Camp Sagamore & check into the Adirondack Museum (we have discounted admission tickets for purchase).
Price includes two nights double occupancy lodging, as well as meals. Many dates available. Private baths are available for an additional charge.
$299/person/2 nights. School children are half-price, $149.50. Preschoolers, $69.
Add-a-Night: $99 per night, adults; $69 school children; and $39 preschoolers.
