Upcoming Events

Great Camp Sagamore events involve you in many kinds of activities.

Sagamore is the flagship of the Grandparent and Grandchildren (Grands) Camps around the country. Begun by the Foundation for Grandparenting about 20 years ago, the sessions have changed, grown, and expanded to fill every week of the Sagamore summer.

Essential to the budget at any not-for-profit organization is the element of fund raising. For this purpose Sagamore holds an annual benefit the first Saturday of every August.  Expect a party including a silent auction, delicious food, and music!  Join us!

Volunteering is central to Great Camp Sagamore’s smoothly functioning operations. Volunteers come three weekends a year and know that Sagamore finds their services invaluable.

Mountain Music and Dance is the Columbus Day weekend event many plan for every year. The sounds of clogging, singing, dulcimer, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and banjo ring out all weekend. Come to hear and/or to learn to play.

Women take to the woods and waters in foliage season for a weekend of hiking and canoeing and simply breathing in the great out-doors. Come with friends or come by yourself to meet new friends.

For over a decade women with chronic illnesses have gathered at Great Camp Sagamore for an Arts and Healing Retreat. Music, writing, stories, and art projects are created together in a supportive environment nurturing healing.
